Current News and Happenings

The Good Fight presents "this little light o' mine," an united effort to raise awareness to the plight of disadvantaged artists. We are advocates for the arts, arts education and champions for all disadvantaged artists. Our goals are to support the arts by supporting artists through vocational training, working communities and shared resources.

We hope to make our first physical presence during Chicago Artists Month when people from around the city and nation will be surrounded by the wonderful talent we have here in Chicago. Unfortunately their are many artists or would be/should be artists out there that due difficult or impossible situations are hindered from doing their art. This little light o' mine is dedicated to raising awareness to the plight of disadvantaged artists and making sure that every artist has the opportunity to do their best art. We are now working on the website that will contain more detail and stories from artists that are succeeding and of some that are not quite making it in life and art.

Our Chicago Artists Month campaign: Feed your artist, will help people to rally around local artists with financial, moral and continued support.  It is this coming October, the whole month. Whether that artist is you, your spouse, kids, neighbor or someone across town, we should all lend a helping hand to those who are gifted to be artists. Contact Michael at goodfighter[at]juno.com for any questions or comments.

Sincerely, the Good Fight.

Up and Coming...

We are moving along slowly on this, trying to get people to plug in and get the resources that we desperately need. Keep us in your plans. Up and coming plans include the Chicago Artists Month, that will be our first physical, on the ground effort to reach out to people with our message and vision. We need to build awareness to the plight of the disadvantaged artist, social inequality and how the Good Fight is addressing these issues. This will take a lot of effort and money of course. We are projecting a budget of $9,000 to $11,000 to pull this off. This will require its own day of prayer. Get the word out. Christians need a presence in all arts venues and events.

List of what we currently need:

24in iMac for large displays, presentations and video work.

17in Macbook Pro for mobile presentations and graphics work.
